The Thousand words blog (Tuhat sanaa in Finnish) is a collection of ideas and observations of Tuija Aalto, who lives and works in Helsinki, Finland.

I am employed by YLE the Finnish Broadcasting Company but this is a strictly private blog where everything represents my personal, not my employers views.

I am interested in all kinds of things digital, mainly from the viewpoint of how digital media affects our capabilities in sharing our experiences, communicating and collaborating. I have a strong radio background on air and later in program management, which strongly affects my approach in things.

The marriage of radio & internet is only ten years old but boy have the recent developments in podcasting, for instence, put action in it!
